하나(Hana) 둘(Dul) 셋(Set) You might hear these Korean numbers from Stray Kids "Cheese". Yes, this posting will help you learn how to say 1 to 10 in Korean numbers.

Korean uses 2 sets of number

Have you heard that Korean uses two different numbers as mentioned below?

① Sino-Korean Number: The Sino-Korean System is based on Chinese characters with Korean pronunciation.

② Native Korean Number: The quite modern system than the Sino-Korean.

Native Korean Numbers

- 하나 (Hana): 1

- 둘 (Dul): 2

- 셋 (Set): 3

- 넷 (Net): 4

- 다섯 (Daseot): 5

- 여섯 (Yeoseot): 6

- 일곱 (Iigop): 7

- 여덟 (Yeodeol): 8

- 아홉 (Ahop): 9

- 열 (Yeol): 10

- 스물 (Seumul): 20

- 서른 (Seoreun): 30

- 마흔 (Maheun): 40

Here's when you would typically use a native Korean number:

- Counting objects (갯수 세기): How many apples can you find in the following pic?

사과가 다섯개 있네요.

사과 다섯개가 있네요.

- Ages(나이 말하기): Can you guess how old I am based on the following pic?

- 25살 이시네요?

- 25살 이네요.

But Do you know Native Korean Numbers are used for numbers up to 99, so if you want to say a number over 100, you need to know the Sino-Korean Number System.

Sino-Korean Number

- 일 (II): 1
- 이 (I): 2
- 삼 (Sam): 3
- 사 (Sa): 4
- 오 (O): 5
- 육 (Yuk): 6
- 칠 (Chil): 7
- 팔 (Pal): 8
- 구 (Gu): 9
- 십 (Sip): 10
- 백 (Baek): 100
- 천 (Cheon): 1,000
